PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

Our Product Development team is dedicated to handling projects from beginning to end, including sourcing, compliance, importing, co-packing, marketing and final logistics. Our in-house designer develops product packaging, renderings and pallet configurations to meet each customer’s unique needs while our suppliers’ portfolio allow us to develop new items that meet and exceed our clients’ expectations. The Product Development team also offers private label services. We ensure clear and transparent communication with customers guiding them every step of the way in the creation of their final product. 

SOURCING

Our team follows the latest food trends between Europe and US in order to identify and meet consumer demands. We use our knowledge of the food industry to handpick the perfect items for the American consumer. Our portfolio includes frozen, refrigerated and dry foods such as sweet snacks, candy, cookies, pastries, condiments (including olive oil), cheeses, pickles and more. Our expertise and long-standing relationships with our suppliers give us and our clients an edge over the competition when it comes to sourcing premium products.

LOGISTICS

We are proud to offer our suppliers and customers a comprehensive range of international shipping logistic services. Our highly trained and knowledgeable logistics department handles the import and export of all refrigerated, frozen and dry food products. We handle everything from the customs clearance to final distribution, while ensuring a secure supply chain, thanks to our established partnerships. We work with truckers and warehouses across the country with storage solutions on both the East and West Coasts. Our team of specialists can assist with all concerns regarding the import and export flow along with maritime trade routes. 

COMPLIANCE

At Overseas Food Trading, our commitment to Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) and compliance as a food importer is at the forefront of our operations. Our dedicated Regulatory Compliance team consists of certified professionals, including PCQI and FSVP experts, HACCP specialists, and a licensed Customs Broker. Our in-house customs broker exercises reasonable care when classifying new and current imported products to ensure that Customs can correctly calculate duties, collect accurate statistics, and determine if other applicable legal requirements have been met. Our rigorous supplier approval program involves comprehensive research into FDA, USDA, and NAFTA regulations, as well as the collection of essential FSMA documentation. This thorough evaluation process guarantees that only verified suppliers are approved for importation. As a member of the Association of Food Industries, we stay updated on the latest industry developments and best practices, further reinforcing our commitment to excellence.
